Bill Sheehan

Bill was born in Roma and has an extensive rural background, having been brought up on a family property at Injune and owning a cattle and sheep property at Dirranbandi for 20 years.


He qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1976 during five years with Coopers and Lybrand in Brisbane, Sydney and Townsville and then pursued rural interests as a grazier from 1980 to 1995 when he joined Statham Cheesman Pty Ltd.


Bill specialises in rural and business advisory services and rural taxation policy development.

His hands-on primary production background and professional expertise provide a solid base of specialist rural accounting and related knowledge.

Bill was a former Maranoa Graziers Association President in 1990/91, and United Graziers Association Councillor from 1987 to 1991. He was also member of the final UGA Taxation Committee from 1995 to 1999, prior to the formation of AgForce.


In 2013, he was a member of the ICAA/NZ Council Working Group during the successful merger discussions with the New Zealand Institute of Chartered Accountants.
