Doug has been a partner of Cheesman Applegarth since 1992. He specialises in accounting software and business valuation and continues to advise on matters in relation to taxation, management and business structures. Doug's professional accolades also include past Councillor of Crows Nest Shire Council and past President of the Council of CPA Australia - Toowoomba Branch.
Doug holds a Bachelor of Business from the University of Southern Queensland and is a Certified Practising Accountant with Fellow status.

David Graham BFA, MTax, CA, CPA, CTA

David joined the Cheesman Applegarth family in 2013 as a partner. David specialises in taxation, business management and self-managed superannuation administration, attained from his wide variety of industry experience as an accountant for over 25 years.
David, a Chartered Accountant and Chartered Tax Advisor holds a Masters in Taxation from the University of New South Wales and a Bachelor of Financial Administration from the University of New England.
With a regional upbringing having grown up on a grazing property, our clients can rest assured that David understands your primary and agricultural needs.

Jacko Potgieter PGDBA, B.COM., CPA, CTA, J.P(Qual)
Partner
Jacko (Johannes) Potgieter joined the Cheesman Applegarth team in 2020 and became a partner in 2022. Jacko is an expert in taxation, business assurance & advisory services.
Jacko studied his Bachelor of Commerce at USQ and is a CPA as well as a Chartered Tax Adviser with the Tax Institute. To further enhance his skills Jacko has also gained further qualifications including a Graduate Diploma of Business Administration, he is a Tax Institute - Chartered Tax Adviser, and a Certified Advisor/trainer for Quickbooks Online, Xero and MYOB.

Anthony Lane MCom(FP), BIntFin, Dip.FS

Anthony started his Financial Services career in 2006 and achieved the designation of Financial Planner during 2007; during his time as a Financial Planner, he has also helped multiple Financial Planning practices with advice coaching, compliance, marketing, and assistance with developing advice solutions for their clients. Anthony joined Cheesman Applegarth and Partners in early 2019 where he has used his skills, experience, and enthusiasm for customer service to become an important resource to both our firm and our clients. Anthony Lane became a partner in 2022.
Anthony holds a Bachelor of International Finance, Master of Commerce (Financial Planning) and a Diploma of Financial Services (Finance/Mortgage Broking Management).

Bill Sheehan

Specialisation: Taxation and Business Services, Rural Policy Development
Bill was born in Roma and has an extensive rural background, having been brought up on a family property at Injune and owning a cattle and sheep property at Dirranbandi for 20 years.
He qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1976 during five years with Coopers and Lybrand in Brisbane, Sydney and Townsville and then pursued rural interests as a grazier from 1980 to 1995 when he joined Statham Cheesman.
Bill specialises in rural and business advisory services and rural taxation policy development.
His hands-on primary production background and professional expertise provide a solid base of specialist rural accounting and related knowledge.

Bill was a former Maranoa Graziers Association President in 1990/91, and United Graziers Association Councillor from 1987 to 1991. He was also member of the final UGA Taxation Committee from 1995 to 1999, prior to the formation of AgForce.
In 2013, he was a member of the ICAA/NZ Council Working Group during the successful merger discussions with the New Zealand Institute of Chartered Accountants.
